Berean Baptist Church focuses on growing children into healthy disciples of Christ with a powerful and joyful faith. The Children’s Ministry encourages children to worship, fellowship with God and each other, understand doctrine, and to serve in ways appropriate to their age. All children's workers receive regular criminal background checks and child safety training provided by http://protectmyministry.com/
We serve with a sound Biblical grounding and a zeal to help children grow in the image of Christ, because we see them as precious and beloved by God-almighty.
Berean's nursery is in the education building. Child care is offered for infants and toddlers during most services.
Sunday Morning Bible Fellowships start at 9:30 AM. First through sixth grades are in the education building, and all adult Bible studies are in the main building.
At Berean we strive to have more than just a generic “Sunday school”. We provide age appropriate Bible studies in small fellowship groups led by experienced Christian teachers. We treasure the opportunity to help children grow in their relationship with God, and in their knowledge of the faith we share so that they may learn to love the Lord with all their mind, heart, and soul; and love their neighbors as themselves.
Children's church is offered for first through third graders during the 10:30 AM Sunday service in the education building.
We believe that even the very young can worship in a way that is meaningful and valuable to God. We also recognize that different age groups may need to participate in services in different ways.
So, Children's Church is offered to children up to third grade who are not yet able to participate in the main service. Children grades first through third start in the main service with their parents and about half way though, a Children's Church worker leads them to the education building for Children's Church. In Children's Church, the kids will sing, pray, and hear the Word. We want Children to worship side by side with their parents, learning the love of God from them, as soon as they are able.
From 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM every Wednesday during the JR Combs school district year, in the Education Building. The Kid's for Truth Club (K4T) gets together to study and memorize the Bible, play games, do crafts, learn songs, and grow together in Christ. These first through sixth graders receive awards for their effort memorizing the Bible, and for their progress in the curriculum.
More information about K4T can be found here: http://learnabout.kids4truth.com/K4T is led by Brian and Connie Carter. Brian and Connie are both retired school teachers with years of experience, and deep care for the hearts of children.
This summer our teens will be going to Camp Ironwood. Berean Baptist Church will host Neighborhood Bible Time.
